I haven't seen many adults, but my broad beans are covered in the larvae.

The adults must be having a well earned rest after their activities ;)

I've not seen any ladybirds at all!   :(  Wonder if the sparrows are eating them all. We have loads of those  :)

I've not seen any ladybirds at all!   :(

Nope me either and it's certainly not for a lack of food !  I've been so busy squishing black / green fly I've not squished any asparagus beetles.

I know - at last, indeed. Saw a couple of ladybirds on the lotty and a couple at home in the garden. Not many, I know, but up until yesterday, I hadn't seen any! And - blackfly seem to be under control - not gone but numbers seem to be waning. Mind you - I have got 'Sprayer's Wrist' from all the soapy/garlic water that I pump all over them.   :D

I've spotted 1 or 2 on the dwarf beans. Good job,as there are more than enough black fly for them.

Yes, a few ladybirds have ben sighted down at the plot, thank goodness, but not that many larvae.

The blackfly do seem to be waning however ......

I'm lucky we've got quite a lot. We moved here nearly 3 years ago and this garden has always got ladybirds. I've noticed even in the winter when I'm clearing leaves I find them tucked away so I try not to disturb them. Could be because the garden is surrounded by beach & oak trees next to a wood with farmland surrounding us. But despite having so many my plants still get attacked by greenfly!
