Hi,
I recently bought a book about saving seeds from your veg (in order to try and be more sustainable and save money on buying seeds)

It says you can use the little "green tomato-like" seed balls from the greenery to plants next years crop but it doesn't say how to harvest them? A few questions I have are...
1 - Do I wait for them to drop off / turn a certain colour or size
2 - How do I store them best over winte
3 - How / when would I sow them

If anyone can help with this I'd be most grateful!

I'm afraid that book of yours has deceived you somewhat if it's given you the impression that you'll get a crop next year the equivalent of using certified seed potatoes.

Thanks for this, it did say not to rely on your whole crop for it but that it was something to try... I'm just intrigued to see if I can make it work as I had no idea it was even possible... your website was good as I now know when and how to harvest them and how to prepare for storage,
