You'll never regret it sullycarter.

I know dozens of Eglu owners and they all say the same  :D

Yeah but Sally, you're an elitist and you only mix with Eglu owners.
Not being in the club, so to speak, with Eglus being in such a demand and being so portable and handy, just how long would they remain in situ on your average allottment ?

I have never recommended them for allotments Bodger  :!:   :!:

I have always said that they are only suitable for pet hens in your own back garden where security is not a problem   :!:

Although having said that:

The problem is I live in the States and I don't know how comfortable 3 hens would fit in a regular sized Eglu. I wouldn't mind having more but the cube isn't available across the pond. :( Do three hens fit comfortably in a regulary Eglu?
I live in Santa Monica, CA
and am dying for some pet
chickens and an eglu.

3 is fine in an eglu but if they have to stay in the run for long periods you would need to have a run extention.

And I know quite a few chicken owners with wooden hen houses Bodger

We have a large (acre and third) garden that I hope they could be out in for at least a few hours a day. Did you get your chickens with your Eglu or buy them at a feed store or from a hatchery?

That sounds perfect for them.

I got my original birds from Eglu.  But I've purchased locally since.

Yeah. SO until I get them i will be very bored. Does anyone here have any experience about training dogs to get along with chickens?
