get it put together Violet  :D  I did mine all on my own and I'm a fifty something  8)  It said it would take 45 minutes to assemble. I think it took me something like two hours but I took my time  :D

They do if you buy chooks with it.  It is then delivered completely assembled and all the delivery guy has to do is put the run together and attach it to the eglu.  Then a quick lesson on handling feeding and wing clipping.  20 mins and you're waving good bye and playing mother hen

I am sick to the back teeth with this thread.  Nine pages of chicken talk has thrown me over the edge.

I AM SO JEALOUS.     Want some, want some, want some.

It just has to be an eglu and I am going to try and save for a nice blue one.
Cheese makes everything better.

Now THAT is a service! lol Seriously, for someone with money and a need to know that's no bad thing... now if you tell me they sell them in purple.. half price.. then i'll be tempted!

only kidding, but at least they offer a good service. :)

Thr do come in purple (the eglu's not the chooks)  And they do sometimes have some going cheep

They have a 28 day return policy (if you decide it's not for you).  They then sell the returned eglu off at a good discount.  Put your name down for one  8)

sadly not in my budget. We both foster full time and it doesn't make you rich.. just gives you a headache (childrens noise) lol

We're happy to build our own - but it'll be wooden. :) Just need to save pennies for a more secure run in time i think. :)

Purple chickens sound like a great idea though!

We have ordered an eglu cube, and it's on its way!  :D
Due to arrive on the 1st july, the birds will have to wait until we come back from our summer hols. Should have them settling in by the end of July !

OK I am prob repeating things in this thread but it was so long I skipped a bit!

I have a cube and they are fab. I have never seen a faded one and as Auntie says they hold their value (no-one wants to risk buying a second hand wood one in case of the dreaded mite!)

I too can move the cube by myself, I have 5 chickens in it (large breed) who range during the day when I am at home.

Easy to clean, easy to move and the chickens seem snug and warm.

I'm with Auntie on this one - Omlet rocks!!

Just another point - we didn't get our chickens from Omlet but they still assembled it free of charge. Go Omlet (and no I don't work for them!!)
