Hello. We have a growing problems with lots of holes in our lawn, apparently caused by burrowing 'mulots' which looks a bit like voles. There are literally hundeds of holes in some areas and with the dry weather, some of the tunnels connecting them have started to cave in.

We have tried filling in some of the holes with earth but they rapidly get re-dug. We like a bit of wildlife but the lawn is now so bumpy and with so many holes that it's unsafe to walk on in sandals for fear of twisting an ankle.

Can anyone suggest ways of discouraging these animals and reducing the amount of holes without using poison. We have a well used for irrigation of our veg plot and 2 young kittens so whatever we need something compatible with that. The kittens have caught one already but we won't have any lawn left at this rate. Welive in the southern Vendee in France.
