Will purple sprouting broccoli grow in areas that get the least sun?  We've just given a plant to a relative who only has a bit left to plant in that's under a large tree, and under shade for most of the day.  If the PSB isn't best t grow there, any ideas what might?

I think lettuces and radishes aren't that keen on full mid-summer heat, so might be ok?

Yes broccoli, in fact any of the brassicas - cauli, cabbage, brussels, kale etc - don't mind some shade. Also lettuce and other salads and greens like chard. I'm sure there are more too....

Thanks for the advice there Kajazy and argyllie, I've just got back from the plot to find my own PSB has been eaten by birds.. my own stupid fault, they're the only brassicas eaten and the only ones I haven't netted.  I now need to work out how badly eaten the middle is to know whether it's worth leaving them in the ground..

You have my sympathy - they got most of my brassicas too! A lot of them have recovered though - it's worth giving it a go.
