Are Willow leaves poisonous to chickens?

Chickens are pretty cool about not eating stuff which isn't good for them. They might have a sample, but......

I have lots of willow trees including 4 weeping willows. My hens will sometimes be found leaping up and pulling the leaves off to eat. Willow bark contains aspirin I think and 1 of my old  dogs used to sometimes go and get a branch and chew that when she was off colour - so I wonder if that is why the chickens eat the leaves.
