I think one of my hybrids is broody.  She wouldn't come out the coop yesterday, just stayed in the nest box. Initially, I thought she was ill but there are no visible signs of illness. This morning she is still on the nest. Is it possible for a hybrid to get broody? She's 2 1/5 years old.

yes very possible so now you need to decide if you want her to hatch eggs (half of which will be cockerels) or if you want to stop her being broody.

I recently posted regarding my ex-free range hen, she went broody for a couple of days!! she must be 3 years old, this is her first real spring and she definately had madness, with escaping and visiting the neighbours!

I have a buff orp that is currently sitting on 4 eggs (it's day 14 today) and as tempting as it is  I don't want to hatch any more just yet.  However, I was thinking of putting Khaki Campbell eggs under her?  Would this be a problem?
