I know these don't "store" well. But there's store (like a few weeks) and there's store (all year). How many weeks could I expect to keep them for? Or are they best left in the ground until needed?

Reckon they'd store a couple of months after lifting.  Maybe more.

Best get them out of the ground soon since they might start putting out fresh roots soon.

cheers WG. They're not planted yet - in modules just past the hairpin stage.
Needed to know in order to plan where they'll be put. If they had to stay in the ground, they'd go on a different bit.
