15 flowers how many are female ? you'll only get fruit from them, I've found that they always produce more male flowers than female esp when they first start flowering, if the female ones are dropping off then it could be lack of water    or not being pollinated, pull a male off remove his petals and gently rub it inside the females flowers this may help.

I have exactly the same problem! People on my plot have really good plants with nice crops. My plants have remained small and very little fruit! Very disappointed! They were kept watered and manured!! Didnt pollinate though?!? Also, a lot of the fruits would rot whilst on the plants and small!!!

All Green Bush is the only courgette which is doing anything at all for me this year.  Even they are half the usual size of plants.  A couple of other varieties have sulked in the ground for the past 10 weeks and have hardly grown at all.

I can't remember a 'summer' with less sunshine.  Very cool too.

I'd hope not too considering

"Historically, the summer of 1903 is the wettest, a record year for mud, fields turned to swamps and a desperate harvest. That year saw the longest continuous rains - for more than 58 hours in mid-June - and snow in Newmarket and Cambridgeshire in the same month.

One of the coldest summers was in 1922, when the average temperature in July was just 57F (13.7C)." Telegraph.co.uk website

I have grown a yellow round courgette and it won't stop more courgettes then I can shake a stick at and me marrows are doing the same.  We have been very fortunate around here lots of rain not as much as others. :)

and me jo power - those round yellow ones just keep coming - never tried these before but i will again next year. I have them growing on a mound of old turf from clearing the plot this year. I have two of the same plants  in the open ground and they can only muster two fruits between them the side of golf balls so perhapds the mound method works best.  :D

Our plants (or should I now say plant the other died) has one fruit /flower on it, I gave it a dusting with the male flower this moring, just incase it was thinking of dying off!  The neighbours have very little fruit on thiers now, so fingers crossed my fruit will survive

We dug a dip and mounded it u on the sides to help hold the water this seemed to work.  Thinking of stuffing the flowers to see what they taste like.  My butternut is blooming and has small fruits growing behind the flowers I'm dead excited.
