Sloes for trifles

Can you use sloes in trifles after they've done their magic in the gin and/or vodka??

I did a search here but came up with nothing....

I don't know if they're any good in a trifle but apparently you can make Sloe Sherry with the sloes that are left after you have made Sloe Gin/Vodka.  You don't need to add sugar to the sherry and sloes either.

I think they will be a bit dry for a trifle as the gin takes all of the juice out . Good mixed with dark chocolate after taking the stones out.
Try a couple of the sloes when you take them out of the gin the texture is quite unusual.
