My leader of the pack girl has been whistling rather than rosey for the last couple of weeks. Is this normal? I've kept an eye on her and she seems fine - eating well and laying now and again. She certainly still leads all the others into mischief and is usually first out in the morning. She's about 25wks old.

I have never heard of a whistling chicken but they certainly do make a purring sound sometimes. Keep an eye on her just incase but I'm sure she's fine.
