What's This Bean?
« on: September 06, 2010, 09:49 »
Does anyone recognise this climbing bean?

I have been told it's an Italian variety but I can't find any details on it.

One of the OB's gave me a few seeds last year and they came up fine.

They have dark blue, almost black, seeds
Produce a purple flower
They have 5"- 6" pale-green flat pods

And they grow and spread like there's no tomorrow.

Any ideas?

I don't recognise it, but have you tried browing the Seeds of Italy website?  They may just have something similar.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
