Do you mean the pod? If this is the case then they are going over, and need picking sooner.

If it isnt this then a pic will help

Havent experienced this before so had a look in good old DR H.  It could possibly be pea aphid, which doesn't occur often, but is mostly found in hot damp summers.

How is the rest of the plant looking? Did you water or feed?

Edit: quick pic there! Are the leaves covered in greyish silvery fluffy? My eyesight isnt too great at the mo

Not a pea (or anything else) expert but I reckon the aphid suggestion may well be the cause. Many plants react the same way to aphid infestation so I guess peas would be no different.

What you might do about it is another matter.... but a closer look would be a start and, if it is the little legged blighters, I'd get out the soapy water spray..

Have a look for pea stunt on the internet and see if that looks familiar - but I'm sticking with the aphid - Ive had such a lot of trouble with them on lots of different veg this year

Or resident PeaGod DD may know more...

Mildew is running through my mind.

Wonder if the peas have it also!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
