Well seemed like a good idea at the time

I have often seen that victorian gardeners and, probably others, put their kitchen scraps straight into the bed, instead of a compost bin.  So I have new high rise beds and I put scraps in, I now have potatoes growing in them from peelings...................not what I intended at all.  Think I will stick to banana skins in future.
