I am sure I am not the only one, but I regularly have the cats trying to help me by moving my carefully seeded carrots etc to other areas they think is theirs to use, not only is it annoying its pretty disgusting too.  It only need to be temp' while the seedlings come through. 

I have tried bits of gorse scattered around, some netting laid on the ground so its easily removed once growing, I've even resorted to the bought stuff. 

Any other fail safe ideas?

The garlic drench that people use for slugs also normally works on cats- we used to use it to encourage our own to avoid places we didnt want them 'going'....

How do I make a garlic drench? My five little monkeys like my raised beds a wee (pun intended) bit too much - garlic drench that would work for them at home and the slimy critters at the lotty sounds perfect
