Here in Spain you can buy jars of pickled garlic which are very nice - they make a good low calorie 'nibble' to put out when you are having a drink.

Just spent half a day weeding and taking the scapes off some of my porcelain garlic. Looks like it is going to be a good harvest since the largest plants are 5ft tall. Most would be over 4'6"

Even at this height with a spacing of only 6" between plants and between rows, there is still a healthy under-storey of weeds!
