There are two possible outcomes.  Maybe you could try it and let us know.

If they are in pots, then my bet is that they will live (provided you plant in very wet, very acid conditions).

Yeah, but they still may just drop their fruit out of spite

I'd still plant them, whether or not they drop the fruit out of spite. They'll be ready to bear a good crop next year, just remember they NEED lots of acid stuff - pine needles, sulphur, water, etc.

im going to sink 2foot dia by 2 foot deep tubs into ground with 10mm holes in
the bottom. Then add 2 inches of 20mm stone, then fill with J.A.bowers ericaceous compost then cover with 3 inches of bark to keep moisture in.the aim is to give a natural look to their siting and to keep soil as acidic as poss, do you think this will do?and i really need to know they have good chance of surviving the transplant from small pots to these planting stations when fruiting or in bloom cos this is an expensive mission what with plants at 10 quid each.

If you have bought them, you are going to plant them.  If you haven't bought them, ask the seller.

My blueberry was smothered with flower ... is it natural that they should drop flower a bit  :? ... it's as if some have been pushed off by others developing!!

Yes most plants will drop a few, take apples for instance.
