Scarifying the lawn

cut mine last night!!! 

right,  I have now aerated thoroughly (fork wiggle wiggle) and scarified about 3 weeks ago (it was short) then treated it with weed and feed.  since then it has gone patchy blacck and gross but also is growing, so scarified again today and then gave it a medium cut.  need to get a sand and seed mix now and get this show on the road.

In our last house which was also suffering from newbuilditis,  it took me about three seasons to get the lawn healthy, lots of constant aerating and dressings with sand in spring to kill the moss, scarifying and i also gave it a thorough compost dressing at one point.  I got some seaweed liquid feed in wyevale which i used to water with 3-4 times over the summer and the lawn did get gorgeous about the time we decided to move
