I told the kids I'd dig the swing up if I won it  to make room   "can we have more hens then?" was the reply.  :D
He who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever.

just bringing this up again, as I'm looking for a new hen house. I like the the look of the Cube but not having the opportunity to view one before purchasing I'd like to get all the facts and opinions from long term poultry keepers owners that have actual experience of it.
Looking at pics, it appears to be well thought out, but a couple of things catch my eye, 1/ nesting material falling through the drainage slot in the nest box? 2/ rain entering the house via the ventilation slots, and rear roof join? 3/ rain entering the droppings trays via the gap above them on the rear?

My second choice is the Lenham, no run, but I can sort that myself ... Both options are expensive, but over the years I have built and bought houses that always had some downside which was a pain to live with, so I've decided that some extra expenditure now might possibly leave a better taste over the longer term.

just discovered Lenham 504 is no longer available!! hopefully someone will be able to throw some light my direction soon thanks.
Omlet said its the same house !! I'm afraid its not, there was someone on here that swore by the Lenham perhaps they have found another maker or brand of similar design.

Cheers

if you want to go down the route of a wooden coop Forsham do seem to be the best, however I'm shocked to see how they have cut down their range. If I was to go back to wood I would buy theirs.
I though prefer plastic but as I live in the countryside I didn't go down the route of the cube instead I bought the Solway Ark which is the largest Solway recycling make and it resembles a pig ark.
Staffies are softer than you think.
