Certainly gets warm in our bedroom!

That'll be the bed socks and hot water bottles, I guess

Seriously though Dan 78 they need to be in the light, but cool, near a window? or the shoots will be too long, the light/cool keeps them short and green. (not like the ones you get from forgotten spuds in the kitchen cupboard ::) )

they are cool and pretty close to the window.. if they dont work out then my dad bought me other seed potatos which i am going to chit at theirs..

I have a 2 year old son running about so cant really put them where i want them.. he would just throw them on the floor or run around hiding them all over the place!! :)

I am a new girl to both growing and the forums but have a 2 grandmas that are itching to help me"!
If I plant the early potatoes now, will they be done in time to plant the later crop?
You don't wait for the earlies to crop before planting main crop.
Plant all potatoes in succession. The main crop take longer to crop than the earlies.
1st earlies, then 2nds, then mains are all planted at the same time, or within a few weeks of each other. It is just that the later sorts take a  longer time to grow to maturity :)

right ok then, so are earlies just the same potatoes as main crop but u dig them up earlier?
or are they completely different seed potatoes?

They are different in that they take less time from sowing to harvesting (although some varieties can be left in the ground longer to increase the size of the crop)
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

One of the best things about being an orang-utan is the fact that you don't lose your good looks as you get older

They are different varieties that mature faster. Storing properties are not so good generally.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
