Hello, I would like some advice please! I've had my chooks for about a year now and would like to add a trio of ducks.  I've done quite a lot of research but would just like to clarifiy a few things.  Can ducks eat the same food as chickens? I feed layers mash and corn for a treat, but have read that ducks should have more grain, i.e wheat.  If so, would it harm the choocks if they ate it? (they will all be free ranging together).  I am thinking of getting a trio of miniature silver appleyards because I've ready they're fairly quiet?, and they are very very cute! And one last thing, would the drake take a fancy to my choocks if he's feeling a bit amourous or is this a myth?  Sorry to ask so many questions, I just like to cover all bases!! or as OH puts it fret and worry

I had it the other way round, one of my cockerals took more than a fancy to my runner
Apart from that they got on well.
They were hatched and brought up together.

Also ate layers, mixed corn, scraps and treats with the chics, along with whatever they got free-ranging
