Hi
Some of my larger leaves are getting really yellow and mottled (looks a bit like mildew). Should I be worried an cut these leaves off - they already have tiny fruits on and I am afraid i could loose them...

I would cut off the leaves the cold /wet could be causing the yellowing, I have nt planted out courgettes yet.It could be they are feeling the chill in the air.Try feeding too ! as there are fruits forming.

great, wiil do. by the way, I have courgettes produsing fruit in my cold frame in the garden. Will they last when I transplant them to my allotment? will it help waiting that bit longer??

feed some tomato feed and give plenty of water these plants need lots of feed.

You should be safe to plant out now , I dont think there'll be a frost.
Not sure if the fruits that have formed will survive, but usually once the plant has established in its new growing position, it will produce loads so you wont miss these if they shrivel .

You may be better nipping them off before planting out , so the plant is nt trying to support fruit and root development at the same time.

As the leaves are going yellow , I think it has outgrown its pot and used up all the nutrients in the potting compost.
