empty watery crop - any ideas?
« on: November 17, 2009, 19:59 »
hi there! my little bantie has been a little off colour for 24 hours - not as busy as usual and seems to have lost her appetite, just pecking around a bit but not eager to eat as she usually is.  her crop is not swollen but it is appears to be full of water with only a few grainy bits inside.  i dont think it is sour crop as breath not smelly and her crop is normal size. is it possible that this is a sign of worms? i wormed her back in august as i noticed one of my girls poos had worms but didnt see any dead ones after i wormed them which surprised me (used flubenvet) dont want to worm her unless likely to have worms as dont want to stress her at all. she isnt moulting and no other symptoms. Laid last egg about 2 weks ago. anyone got any suggestions? apologes for the long post, many thanks, lucylou
