I don't know if it's recommended, but I kept a pair of rabbits (Rescued from horrible lives) along with a flock of six or seven hens and they all got on fine.
I did worry the chickens would peck at their eyes or worse, but they lived out their lives happily enough.
Just make sure each can go somewhere to be rid of the other if need be. (Although I'm sure someone will come along with perfectly reasonable reasons why you shouldn't. )  :)

We put our bunny hutch in the pen with the girls but he doesn't seem overly keen.

Previously, when we were cleaning the hutch he always used to try and escape onto the lawn, now if we put him down in the pen he hops straigth back into his hutch and upstairs  ???

Maybe he is overcome by so many ladies around him?  I guess every bunny is different.  The girls aren't the slightest bit interested in him by the way  :)
1 lovely hubby, 3 dogs, a bunny and 7 ex batts and a shiny new lottie!  (so far)

Rabbits can get quite aggressive if they get territorial. That said, I've seen clips on youtube with it the other way around and hens chasing the rabbits!

There's also coccidiosis which is serious (often fatal) in rabbits.

Diet could be an issue too, rabbits should eat mainly hay but if there is grain around they'll pig out on that which doesn't wear their teeth properly.

I had a Breton friend who kept rabbits and chickens bred for the table in one small coop and run, looked after them well and they were happy enough! Had no idea of what was in store......

Our rabbits and cats have been fine with the chickens. The chickens totally ignore the rabbits and vice versa. Our female cat, Spider, who is still quite young, attempts to play with the hens but they give her very short thrift. I'm not sure if I have just been very lucky, or the animals simply cannot be bothered with each other.

The only time I saw something amiss was when Brenda, our goose, went for one of the rabbits, but it appeared to be a one-off and she had just lost her sister to some mystery virus, so maybe she was a bit narky anyway.

We have lots of wild rabbits and the hens and rabbits don't seem to take a lot of interest in each other. Sometimes they eat side by side. I also worry about parasites, but living with lots of wildlife, complete exclusion isn't an option.

I know of a case where a rabbit killed a cat!

I guess it's partly down to the individual animals hence some people have problems and others get on just fine.
