How to plan your rotation?
« on: September 18, 2009, 18:06 »
I have a planned rotation for 3-4 years, which is fine and i totally understand the reasons why etc. However, what i am confussed on is how to accomadate the brassicas i have overwintering in the bigger picture...
The area i have used for brassicas this year i am re-using next year. I know this is a general no no but as we have only been there for 8 weeks it makes sense. I will just ensure that the same thing doesnt go in the same spot twice.
I have cabbage, cauli, swede and purple sprouting to overwinter taking up part of this space...how should i plan around it, without wasting this space once harvested? any tips?

Sorry, but I'm not quite sure what you mean......are you going to put all your next year's brassicas in the same bed that you have used for all of this year's?
Have you no other space to move them to?
Sorry if i am being a bit dense, but can you explain so that an idiot can understand :)
