Feed may play a part, I use Comfrey leaves rotted down in a vat of water, not measurably scientific, but it beats buying feed I think.
This year red alert and shirley both did well on it and taste sweet, but taste is real personal isnt it?
My father once tried sheep droppings in water as a feed.................it was a total waste of time, because he said, the variety of tom was wrong.
The comfrey feed by the way was terrific for prize pumkins.

"You wern't looking for Honesty seeds, by any chance ?"

I am afraid honesty is self seeding round here.  However if you are serious I can send you a few Yugoslavian tomato seeds.  I have already saved some for next year.

Cheers,

Gillie

That's very kind of you Gillie, but I'll see if I can find them over here. I'll pm you if I can't find them (if I may). The post UF/France is IMO very expensive.

Anyone heard of or grown "Gross Lisse"?

My dad grew them this year.....seeds sent from Aussie friend.
Biggish beef-steak variety but with very few seeds so suit people with dentures! My parents are 89 and 93 so this is a useful characteristic. Flavour is pretty good - fleshy fruit. Great for sandwiches as they slice well and grilled they release even more of a sugary taste. Stood up to blight reasonably well.  ;)
