Sweetcorn ready?
« on: August 25, 2009, 16:54 »
Hello all

How can I tell when sweetcorn is ready to harvest without pulling one to pieces first?

Many thanks to all the replies I have had from previous posts your help is most welcome.

Keep the faith.

Rictic.

very brown tassles. And peel back a bit of the outer layers and see if they are ripe and when you prod a kernel, it leaks a light-milky fluid.

Been eating them for a week or two now - lovely stuff.
