Does anyone know if hens and quail will live happily together
We have recently acquired 5 hens from BHWT, and now they seem all settled and re-feathering nicely. They even all get on with a daft border collie and 2 cats in the pen
The pen is about 6 meters square, and there is also an old playhous in there, which is where we've put the main feeder, so it's prected from rain - they wander in and out through the 'front door' happily to get to the food, and use the inside area as a dust bath as it's nice and dry in there
They live in a coop, but within the pen we also have quite a large rabbit hu-the pen used to have rabbits and guinea pigs before we had hens - and my son would like to have quail, as he loves quails eggs. So the quail could have their own home, but would they live happily in the pen with the hens, or being bigger would the hens bully them?
