Pumpkin Leaves
« on: July 31, 2009, 15:58 »
My pumpkin plant is/was doing very well with 6 nice fruit the size of small footballs to.

Went down to plot today and i would say about 70% of the leaves have turned grey and have the texture of dust! and crumble when touched.

Take it this is some kind of mould to the old leaves as the newer outside ones are healthy , just not many of them.

Any advice about this would be much appreciated as dont wanna loose those fruits now  :(.

Cheers MW.

I'm very important. I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.

Sounds like powdery mildew, give them a spray with milk and water and remove the worst leaves

I used this milk spray method tonight , will update if i find it works fingers crossed.

I cut away all the grey dead leaves and sprayed this milk water solution. The plant looks very bare and the pumpkins look all exposed . Hope the thing pulls through ok
