Yes, Mrs Scabs is beginning to tire of the garden looking like The Somme... and I am getting the urge to increase our chook population.  :)

I have the Keeping Pet Chickens book, which is a good starter, and Storey's Guide, which is a bit daunting to the novice... also a National Trust Henkeeping guide, which is ok.

There does seem to be some contradiction in the books though and the more basic guides can be a bit oblique - sometimes I find it easier to ask my questions here.  :wub:

I know what you mean about the books :D
I swear by Storeys guide's I have them for each type of bird I have :D But if your not 100% sure it's always best to ask :D
