I sowed a new variety of pea this year that has grown to roughly 7ft tall.  Of course my normally sucessful method of support has been woefully inadequate.

The plants have lots of flowers but have literally folded over in half.  I'm worried that to lift them will do more damage.  It happened when i was away for a few days and they have continued to grow and become tangled.

What would you do?  They should 'pod up' anyway shouldn't they?

Id rescue what I could before the wind causes any more damage, but I hate to waste peas  Untangle what you can and support them as best you can..some will have snapped and will start to die off in a couple of days, and you can untangle those without being too gentle too
