Doesn't the stuff last a month in the bloodstream? If it kills beasties for up to a month then I wouldn't eat the eggs for a month. (Actually I wouldn't ever eat them again, but then I am paranoid about chemicals). Just trying to remember back to the days when I used the poison (to fish and aquatics, beasties and who knows what else) on the dogs.
Sorry don't mean to be alarmist, just hate the stuff........... (knew someone who lost two of her dogs after an adverse reaction to it).

I am not a fan of chemicals, but I needed tretment for scaley leg mite and went to a local, (and very good) poultry vet.  I don't know how different the stuff she gave me is from frontline, I just had to put 1 drop on each hen's neck and she said egg withdrawal for 7 days, (gave an extra day for peace of mind).  I know the stuff works for more than 7 days, maybe the 1st absorption into the system has an effect on the eggs but then it's not so strong?  Anyway, it cleared up the problem nicely and the hens are happier for it.  I know some people use vaseline on the legs for a while, but we have 12 hens and I wanted to get it treated ASAP to stop it spreading.  We also had a flea spray for the hen house.  It did irk me to throw away the eggs, I knew we couldn't eat them, but to collect them only to put in the bin was horrible.
