Saw a couple of threads somewhere about using Frontline flea and lice treatment on chickens, is this the same one for cats and dogs? as I can't seem to find one specifically for birds, and my girls really don't like the powder treatment.
Also Aunt Sally how do you work out how flubenvet to put in your girls feed, for a small number of girls?

I used Frontline CAT drops for my chickens. 3 little drops on the back of the chickens neck. You can also use Frontline spray, but I found the drops to be easier but it only lasts 4 weeks before you have to re apply.

When using Flubenvet wormer I put a small pinch inside a grape for each chicken and feed every day for a week.

Thanks Flocko, I don't mind having to do it every 4 weeks, but the chooks hated the powder stuff with a vengence.  The grape thing sounds great. Mine are little Bantams, so will put a pinch on half a grape for them. Great advice thank you.

I thought it was only 1 drop of Frontline for cats?

Is Frontline ok for chickens then?
I am having so much trouble with the red mites I am about ready for anything  
I have read that it isn't licensed for chickens but it does work if you use a puppy/kitten strength and just use 1 drop on an adult chicken. Is this right?
The throw away the eggs for 7 days to be safe.

Would this fix the red mites?
What are the risks?

Thanks Aunt Sally, I got some Flubanvet from my vets, so will give each bird a pinch in a grape. I will try some frontline.

I tried the frontline on my girls and they all were fine afterwards.  I used the pipette suitable for cats and used only one drop per chuck...so far so good
