Aidy - what did you feed the pumpkin for it to get that big - its fantastic!  Now that's what I would love to grow for the kids - what variety did you say they were again?  I'm just growing the hundredweight ones this year.

Would you like me to PM you some raw ones?  They may defrost en route but it'll make for quicker roasting

No, a gourmet is a connoisseur, a gourmand is a "hearty" eater as in "Russell Hearty", a glutton.

So why did BeetrootQueen pig out on the parsnips?  Were they just too fine to be wasted on an undeserving public, or did the "cram now, answer questions later" reflex take over?  ;)

Nice to see you back KB  :D

BQ grew them, and they were wasted on a non-discerning audience... a perfect decision IMO  ;)

That's the line I take with my peas. They've not been grown for riff-raff! (or even Ruff!).
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

This was the Atlantic Giant and the feed is a secret. Not growing them this year having a year off as I am trialing different beetroots this year, Chioggia is or should I say has become the family fave, stunning.

Anyway someone mentioned cauli's well here is one of mine...  ;)
