Hi Rangerkris I make mine up like the strength that you would to wash the dishes with, only a little squirt of the good stuff or a bit more of the happy shopper type.
It cured the green and black fly on my chilli plants and the white fly on the brassicas.
That was 4 weeks ago I used it once and not had to re apply. :)
Can you hear voices?

I don't know why but I have read warm sopy works best, I would agree it seems to work instantly! Good luck with spraying.

Will make it up before i go down there and it will still be warm to help get rid of the little *'s, might even get the wife to pop down and blast them sooner.

have left it very late to spray my broad beans with soapy water. they are covered in blackfly now, especially the spring ones.

Will it still do any good if I spray now or have I left it too late?

I think they recommend pincing out if really bad to reduce numbers then spray but best check with others as I've not had problems with blackfly (yet).

My husband is a smoker  but I have found that a few cigarette butts in water make a wonderful spray to deter bugs.  Just soak, strain, and spray.  Kills bugs instantly and keeps them off too.  Stinks like nicotine though.
When I die I will slide in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand and chocolate in the other, screaming, "Whooo hooo!  What a ride!" as life is to be enjoyed to the fullest!

"I have found that a few cigarette butts in water make a wonderful spray to deter bugs..."

But not on tomatoes (or potatoes?) as you could give them tobacco mosaic virus.

I was thinking that a few drops of that orange-oil hand cleaner in a spray might work too...

of course remembering that we SHOULD NOT be making our own pesticides...

Just to point out for the benefit of forum members that home-made pesticides aren't legal, including cigarette butts etc in water  :D
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
