Great morning
« on: April 05, 2009, 20:38 »
Hi all

Started work on the plot at 7.30am to finish sowing the spuds with Jack.

Discovered these beauties which must have poked trough earlier during the week.
Satisfying knowing I must be doing something right. Spent long enough creating the bed!!

Both enjoyed a well earnt break with bacon/egg butties & tea in the sunshine at 9am.

15 rows later & all the spuds are in. Well & truely deserved the couple of beers later. 8)
Top tip for camping....don't go.

Dont let Gwiz know youve got butties on the go, he'll be round before you can say sunny side up

PS, I want room for asparagus!!
Well, I want a double plot really  :D

I am still not brave enough to sow potatoes in the ground - pots all the way for me - so congrats on such an achievement today.

Oh, and I wish I could make bacon sarnies at the plot, v.jealous!

Put in 11 rows myself this morning.  Know how you're feeling right now.  A hot bath is calling.

Not just a great morning, has been a great weekend :)  Pots went in last week, broad beans & peas yesterday ( bought on in the greenhouse ) Potted on purple sprouting brocolli & cabbages, tidied the garden, fed the lawn ( much to the chooks disgust as they had to go back in their run   Onions just starting to show ::)  Lit the chimnea last night & drank a case of beers ( between two of us  :D)   Was outside til 11pm.....love it !!
