Another spud question!
« on: April 05, 2009, 22:22 »
I bought my spuds about 6 weeks ago. I've chitted my earlies but i stored the maincrops in a box in the garage. They now have shoots around 3 inches long, which are very white.
Shud i plant them like this or rub these shoots off and chit them again?

cheers, info greatly appreciated

Rub them off, they arent much use and maincrop dont need to be chitted anyways

Maincrop can just go straight in. Rub off these white shoots as they won't be much use really and will probably get broken when you plant anyway. At least that's what I'd do  :)
