Hi guys, im going to pick up food and grit and stuff tomorrow in preperation for my choocks.

Do they need mixed grit as well as oyster shell or is just oyster shelll ok for them?

I am also getting layers pellets and mixed corn.

I give both grit & shell, left down in dishes all the time, they dib in to both as & when they want :D

With all my birds I top up once every 2 weeks. If you can, buy a small bag of each.
 
I use the plastic drip tray things that go under indoor plant pots, pop a few holes in the bottom to allow water out :) might also be an idea to pop a tent peg through the middle of it though to anchor it to the ground, stops them tipping it up :D  I imagine it'll last you a while :D
