can the changing the clocks forward or back mess around with the girls laying ? i am asking if anyone knows as normally my girls all lay by lunchtime but occasionally they will lay the odd few in the afternoon . up until a few days ago i was getting 12 - 14 eggs per day from 17 birds then it went down to 9 { was a bit concerned } but today they did 8 by lunchtime i collected the eggs at 2,30 pm an then at 6 pm when i went to put them to bed i had another 5 eggs waiting , could this have anything to do with the time going back an forward .

Change in light and weather might confuse them but the clocks changing won't other than make you think they are laying an hour later.

Come on folks!  Did anyone tell the hens about British Summer Time?
Cows are still ready for milking at their usual time, too.  (Adapt them by 15 mins per week.)
