The package recommends to sow them 4'' apart but this seems too close imo. Other sources say from 6-10"..who is correct?

I sowed direct, (Aquadulce Claudia) blumin' useless! 
I sowed in trays ( Ditto)                  transplanted 2 weeks ago down lottie.
I've sowed  (suttons) 2 weeks ago in trays, and they're 2" tall.

They all go in double rows 8" apart, 12" between the rows.

How big do they grow? I need to find some canes for them.
 
I think I should just stick um in the ground with a cane and let um do the thing? am I doing anything wrong?

What variety - Sutton about 3ft - others up to 6ft.

Hi Aunt Sally, When making hoops for raised beds do you insert anything into the pipe to keep the shape , or once you have bent them in half and inserted ends into the soil, do they hold position themselves.
