Anyone know what I did to deserve these broadbeans?   Last pickings were fine, but this morning I had lots like this.  Is the soil short of somerthing?  Any advice welcome.

I am sure someone more experienced will correct me but the I remember reading somewhere that it happens when they don't get pollinated properly.

RPR is correct.

You will also often find pods toward the end of the harvest with only 1 or 2 beans inside due to poor pollination.

OOer, that means we might all get the same problem this  year..

They need bumble bees to pollinate them.  If they were not around to do their job at the right time then... no beans
