Frost
« on: March 21, 2009, 06:54 »
Who else had frost last night? I put my plants in the garage over-night but when i got up this morning the garage door was wide open, i do hope the plants are O.K. I put them on top of the freezer,  hopefully the heat from the motor gave the a bit of protection. I'd be so fed up if all my little cabbage, cauliflower, lettuce, and sweetpea plants were lost.
There is no better show of antisipation than a man sowing seeds in a field.

I've just got up & the cars & grass are white over.

Not got much in the greenhouse, but do have a little heating to keep the frost off.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Hmm it was -3 at 6am according to the beeb, I toddled out in my dressing gown to inspect the chillies, the heater seems to have done the trick tho they do look a little bemused

Had to de-ice the windscreen at 6 this am - and widespread frost too.  Sun out now - looks gorgeous! (I'm stuck at work!)

frost this morning when i let the chickens out at 6:45 but it had all gone an hour later when i got up properly.
everything's inside anyway - i put the salads on the table last night so that they weren't near the window (just in case) but left everything else on the windowsill. (nothing else has germinated yet)

It's been frosty all week here. So nothing has been done outside.
