I know someone who grew from seed last year....and a few of us on another gardening forum are trying this. My seeds from Desiree are in kitchen roll and a plastic bag as we speak - waiting for germination.

Thats the experiment I am talking about

Last year I had tiny potato seedlings appear on my new plot that apparently had no tuber attached so I presume that these were self set from seed?
