Crown Prince is my first choice.  Winter Festival, Harlequin and Sweet Mama. Then Green Striped Cushaw for pies  :D   I like Thelma Sanders too. These are all culinary squashes as I prefer to eat mine rather than make lanterns from them  :D

First time growing them last season but had good results with potmaron, crown prince and although i did not realise they were a spagettii squash one called  pjamas which grrew like crazy and still good in store. Got the seed from Tozers. his year trying Musquade de provence and blue ballet - I'm a sucker for odd names

Gem Squash - you can't have enough of them - I find that 'Rolet' does very well in the UK.

Oh and I notice that diggerjoe mentions spagetti squash. It makes a great, textured, jam. The Portuguese call it 'doce de gila' and is not only used as a spread but is also used as a filling for pastries etc. Delicious.
