My hens are currently seriously into beetroot.  I throw it out in the garden and what follows is hilarious. They manage to pick it up in their beaks & run faster than Josh Lewsey, difference is that they never pass the ball.

I was just wondering whether I need to watch how much I give them.  My mother tells me that if we eat too much our pee goes pink.    :oops:  

Do you think too much could do anything bad to their eggs?

I did wonder that!!  I guess the beetroot won't harm the hens.

I don't think it worked though

    and something else goes red to if u eat to much :oops:  :oops:  but i wont say what       .

my girls love beetroot think i mite give them some during the week mum stil has some on her plot she did have cabbages as well  but umm they keep dissapearing

After a similar conversation with my mum I tried to get pink eggs by giving mine loads of beetroot as treats. Sadly didn't work :cry:

They have totally trashed my garden so a bit of pink poo could brighten things up!!
