I worry about my chickens in the cold too, and they make it clear that they don't like the snow one bit.  It's funny though... according to my local farm and garden store chickens don't really need heat lamps or other heating devices until it's below 0 F.  I have a well-insulated coop that they sleep in at night with the door shut, and they all seem to do just fine and are anxious to come out in the morning, even when it's frozen out.

You will need to upload your pics to a photo hosting site.  http://photobucket.com is free and very popular.  If they're on photobucket there should be a little code below the image as you roll your mouse over it that says IMG code... just copy and paste that into your reply.  Alternately if you are in the reply screen you will see a button that says IMG.  Just click it and put in the url of your image on photobucket or flickr or wherever it is, and it will automatically put the code in your reply.

:D im hooked .i just cant believe how quickly my chickens have settled in .They come running to me feed out my hand follow me around the garden and sit right by me i never thought that they would be this friendly so quick ive not even had them a week yet.weve had rabbits and guinea pigs for 17 years and i would tell anyone if they have a big enough garden to forget them get some chickens.i do feel sorry for them in this cold weather so ive given them some nice warm porrage,mash potato they love sweetcorn and peas.the chickens add so much character to the garden i love them.im still trying to figure out how to put my pics on here can anyone help me :?:
