greyish aphid on my brussels and PSB

As i said, dusty grey mouldy looking aphid type thing in the hearts of my brassicas.

What is it?

How do i evict it?

Squirt them off with a jet blast from your hose!

But they are right in, in all the crevices i don't think that would get rid of them.

Do you know what they are. They are definitly mouldy looking.

Mealy cabbage aphid i think quite common on all brassicas. Various treatments available depending on whether you are organic or not. For future prevention is best, enviromesh keeps them at bay.

I spray them with soft soap..... they don't like that :shock:

I find they get through the `viromesh!We had them really early this year and all broccolli came with extra protein however well we tried to clean them.With psb and sprouts ,squirt as many off as possible or squash large clusters on leaves(check the undersidesyou should be able to keep them at bay enough to get a decent crop.You will need to check frequently though.
