They stop them looking directly ahead but somehow, they can still feed.

My ex-bats were skittish and would run a mile rather than be picked up when they first arrived. Now I get climbed all over when I go to open the run and house and positively mugged if I carry anything. Today they have learned to pick pockets. I sat by the run to take a phone call and suddenly noticed a chicken's head in my jacket pocket! They have become really tame in the last 2 months and are very rewarding!
