[I have 5 hens, 24 weeks old. 2 buffs and 3 americanas. Happy healthy.I am not getting any eggs. I also have 5, 10 month old americanas and I get a egg from each a day.Clean nests  , nice hens house with big hen yard. No stress. Any ideas?? :?:

Maybe there just late bloomers. It just seems like one or two would be giving them up by now.I will try not to rush them.Thanks

Welcome and as you say prob late starters?  Have you tried leaving a golf ball in so they know where to lay? May help them for reference.  Oh and we need photos of your chucks.

Thanks, I am going to clean there home today and I will put golf balls in the nests to give them a hint as to what I am looking for.I will work on the picture thing.

Yes I thinks I have heard that that they take longer also. So I guess I just need to calm down and wait. I am going to put some fake eggs in all the nest as well so they get the hint. I had never heard that befor. Thanks for you time.

what are you feeding them?  I've heard a diet full of corn and grain can slow down their egg production so maybe it's delayed it if they're not on the right feed?

as long as they are eating the right food, they'll lay just as soon as they are ready.

if i was a chook, i must admit i wouldnt be looking forward to laying my first egg.... owieeee

My marans were hatched on the 2nd of February and I got my first eggs today. Work that out. :lol:
